SHIPPING POLICY
1. General Information
Felicityparts supplies used automotive parts to customers in the Netherlands and other countries.
We work with various transport companies, courier services, freight forwarders, and international logistics partners.
The transport method selected may depend on the size, weight, destination, and type of part.
Examples of transport methods include:
- Parcel delivery
- Pallet transport
- Road transport
- Air freight
- Sea freight
- Consolidated freight
The actual transport method may vary from one order to another.
2. Delivery Times
The estimated delivery time will be stated with the order, quotation, or order confirmation where this information is known in advance.
Unless expressly agreed otherwise in writing, stated delivery times are estimated delivery times and are not guaranteed delivery deadlines.
International shipments may take longer to arrive.
This applies in particular to parts imported from abroad or shipped by sea freight or consolidated freight.
Factors that may affect delivery times include:
- Delays by carriers
- Port delays
- Customs inspections
- Import and export procedures
- Delays in air or sea freight
- Consolidated freight schedules
- Availability of transportation
- Public holidays
- Weather conditions
- Technical problems
- Strikes
- Government measures
- Unforeseen logistical circumstances
- Delays involving foreign suppliers or transport partners
A longer delivery time does not automatically entitle the customer to cancel the order, claim compensation, or receive a refund, to the extent permitted by law.
3. Consolidated Freight
For certain orders, we may use consolidated freight.
This means that multiple parts or shipments are collected before the transport actually departs.
As a result, the shipping date may depend on when sufficient goods are available for the transport to depart.
This may result in a longer waiting time than with regular parcel delivery.
Where an order is shipped using consolidated freight, the customer will be informed where relevant.
4. International Shipping
International shipments may be subject to additional procedures.
These may include:
- Customs procedures
- Import documentation
- Export documentation
- Taxes
- Import duties
- Local regulations
- Customs clearance fees
- Import permits
Any costs imposed on the recipient by the destination country, customs authorities, or a local carrier are the responsibility of the customer, unless otherwise agreed in writing in advance.
The customer is responsible for providing accurate delivery and customs information.
5. Transport Delays
Felicityparts depends on external transport companies and logistics partners.
Once an order has been handed over to a transport company, courier, freight forwarder, or other carrier, we have no direct control over the subsequent transportation process.
Delays caused by a transport company, carrier, freight forwarder, port, customs authority, or other external logistics provider cannot automatically be attributed to Felicityparts.
Examples include:
- Delays during transportation
- Delays at a depot
- Port delays
- Customs delays
- Lost or delayed tracking information
- Delays caused by high volumes
- Weather-related delays
- Delays caused by strikes
- Technical delays
- Delays caused by border controls
We will make reasonable efforts to obtain information about any delay from the transport partner and inform the customer when relevant information becomes available.
A transport delay does not automatically entitle the customer to compensation or a full refund.
Statutory consumer rights always remain applicable.
6. Transport Damage
We carefully package parts for shipment.
Once a part has been handed over to an external carrier, transportation is carried out by the relevant transport provider.
If damage occurs during transportation, it must be reported as soon as possible.
Where possible, we may submit a damage claim to the carrier on behalf of the customer or as the sender.
The final assessment of transport damage will be carried out in accordance with the terms and procedures of the relevant carrier.
The customer should:
- Inspect the packaging upon delivery.
- Report any visible damage immediately.
- Take photographs of the packaging.
- Take photographs of the damaged part.
- Keep the packaging until the damage claim has been resolved.
- Inform us as soon as possible.
If the carrier requires additional information, the customer must reasonably cooperate with the request.
7. Responsibility of the Carrier
For damage, loss, or delays caused by the carrier during transportation, the carrier may be liable in accordance with the applicable transport terms and legislation.
Felicityparts is not responsible for damage that was caused exclusively during transportation by an external carrier.
Where reasonably possible, we will cooperate with the customer in submitting and handling a claim with the carrier.
This provision does not limit any statutory rights of the customer.
8. Incorrect or Damaged Part Delivered
If you receive a part that is visibly damaged or if a different part from the one ordered has been delivered, please contact us as soon as possible.
Please provide your order number together with clear photographs of the part and its packaging.
We will assess the situation and, where applicable, contact the carrier or offer an appropriate solution.
Do not dispose of a damaged part or its packaging until we have confirmed that it is no longer required.
9. Cancellation of an Order
If an order has been placed and the part has been specially ordered, reserved, imported for the customer, or the logistics process has already started, cancellation may not always be possible without costs.
Where cancellation is possible, cancellation charges may apply.
These costs may include:
- Transport costs already incurred
- Supplier costs
- Import and export costs
- Administrative costs
- Costs of cancelling transportation
- Storage costs
- Return transportation costs
- Other demonstrable costs incurred
If the part has already been shipped, the order can no longer be treated as a simple cost-free cancellation.
Any statutory consumer rights relating to cancellation or withdrawal remain applicable.
10. Cancellation During International Transit
If a part is already in international transit, cancellation may not always be possible immediately from a practical or logistical perspective.
A request to cancel an order while it is in transit therefore does not automatically mean that transportation can be stopped.
If the shipment can no longer be stopped, any resulting costs may be charged to the customer to the extent permitted by law.
These costs may include, for example:
- Return transportation
- Storage
- Customs charges
- Transportation costs
- Administrative costs
- Carrier charges
- Costs of retrieving the part
11. Not at Home / Unable to Receive the Delivery
The customer is responsible for being available to receive the order when this is necessary.
If a carrier is unable to deliver an order because the customer is not available, has provided an incorrect address, or fails to respond to the carrier in a timely manner, additional costs may arise.
Any costs for a further delivery attempt, storage, return transportation, or an address change may be charged to the customer to the extent permitted by law.
12. Incorrect Delivery Address
The customer is responsible for providing a correct and complete delivery address.
If an order cannot be delivered correctly due to an incorrect or incomplete address, any additional transportation, storage, or return costs may be charged to the customer to the extent permitted by law.
13. Tracking
Where tracking is available, it may be provided to the customer.
Tracking information is supplied by the carrier.
Felicityparts therefore cannot guarantee that tracking information will always be available, completely up to date, or error-free.
A temporary absence of tracking information does not automatically mean that a shipment has been lost.
14. Longer Waiting Times
Certain used automotive parts may have longer delivery times because:
- The part originates from abroad;
- The part must first be consolidated;
- Transportation depends on a container;
- The shipment is combined with other goods;
- Customs clearance takes longer than expected;
- A supplier makes the part available at a later date;
- Limited transportation capacity is available.
Customers should take possible delays in international shipping into account.
Where an order has a longer estimated delivery time, this will be communicated in advance where possible.
15. Delivery of Used Automotive Parts
The products we ship are primarily used automotive parts.
Due to their nature, used parts may show signs of previous use.
Packaging may be adapted to the size and fragility of the part.
For large or heavy parts, pallets, crates, or other suitable transport packaging may be used.
16. Inspection Upon Delivery
We recommend that customers inspect the part as soon as possible after delivery.
Please check, among other things:
- Whether the correct part has been delivered
- Whether the part has any visible damage
- Whether the packaging has been damaged
- Whether any accompanying components are present
If anything is incorrect, please contact us as soon as possible.
17. Shipping Costs
Shipping costs will be stated in advance where they are not included in the product price.
The shipping cost may depend on:
- Weight
- Dimensions
- Destination
- Transport method
- Type of part
- Pallet or packaging costs
- International transportation costs
For international shipments, additional costs may arise that are not included in the standard shipping charges.
18. Customs and Import Costs
When shipping to another country, import duties, taxes, customs clearance fees, or other local charges may apply.
Where such costs are payable by the recipient, they are not included in the shipping costs stated by Felicityparts unless expressly indicated otherwise.
The customer is responsible for complying with and paying any such local obligations where they apply to the customer.
19. Force Majeure and Unforeseen Circumstances
Felicityparts cannot be held responsible for delays or other consequences caused by circumstances beyond our reasonable control.
These may include, among other things:
- War
- Strikes
- Natural disasters
- Extreme weather conditions
- Pandemics
- Government measures
- Border closures
- Customs issues
- Port disruptions
- Transportation problems
- Fire
- Technical failures
- Supplier problems
- Carrier problems
- Limited transportation capacity
- Other unforeseen circumstances
In such situations, delivery may take longer than originally expected.
We will make reasonable efforts to ensure that the order is delivered as soon as reasonably possible.
20. No Guarantee of a Specific Delivery Date
Unless expressly agreed otherwise in writing, no specific delivery date can be guaranteed.
A delivery date provided by a carrier is an estimate.
Failure to meet an estimated delivery date provided by a carrier does not automatically mean that Felicityparts is in default.
This does not affect any mandatory statutory rights of consumers.
